Complete House Remodel

Goring-by-Sea

Project Overview

This complete house remodel was designed to turn a dated property into a modern, light-filled family home with improved layout and functionality. The homeowners wanted to add a third bedroom and create a more contemporary style of living, maximising space and natural light while ensuring the changes blended seamlessly with the existing structure.

Architectural Plans

Our architecture team designed a rear extension and full remodelling of the back of the house. The plans focused on creating an open-plan living space at the rear, replacing the old conservatory with a well-insulated, usable area. A modern roof design featuring a roof lantern boosts height and light, while bifold doors open the new interior effortlessly onto the garden. This complete house remodel not only increased square footage but significantly enhanced everyday usability.

Roof Lantern

A striking roof lantern was introduced to tackle the challenge of poor light, making this extension bright and airy throughout the year. The unique glazing provides a stylish architectural focal point and complements the bifold doors to maximise daylight and create a modern look. The result is a spacious, contemporary living zone perfect for family life and entertaining.

Modern Design & Practical Family Living

This complete house remodel has dramatically changed how the property feels and functions. By adding a new bedroom and transforming the rear into a light, open-plan space, Roberts Miller Redshaw delivered a seamless extension that balances modern design with practical family living – breathing new life into a once-underused home.
