Disabled Adaption Property Renovation

Goring-by-Sea

Project Overview

This project was our first large disabled access adaption for our client in Goring-by-Sea. The design and work was centred around our client’s needs. This included a full refurbishment, construction of two extensions, a lift installation, separate carer accommodation and external landscaping to allow level thresholds.

Our efforts to transform the property, supporting and helping our client and her family in the home environment, developing specific solutions to meet individual needs. Which made this a very rewarding project. Our client was incredibly happy with her new home.

Underpinning Work

This project opened our eyes to the difficulties and struggles disabled people can face. When disability strikes, it impacts not only the person immediately affected, but the whole family unit. The challenge for us was to understand the physical and emotional needs of our client and her family. We then needed to interpret those requirements into bespoke solutions. Much time was invested in our client and her family and the specialists supporting the family to ensure the construction fully met her needs and expectations.

Extension Work

This was a very rewarding project for us. It demonstrated our flexibility and commitment to make a difference as as company. With the successful completion of this project, we have been contacted for further work within this niche area.

My new home is perfect. It will give me the independence that I need and it looks wonderful. The adaptions are subtle and it will make such a difference to my day to day living. I’ll be so happy in my new home.
